Wavefront-Guided LASIK in Carbondale, Illinois
Wavefront LASIK measures the shape of your cornea by sending light into your eye in a specific pattern and measuring the light that comes out. Any discrepancy is referred to as an aberration. Traditional LASIK could measure only Lower Order Aberrations (LOA). However, wavefront is able to measure both LOA and Higher Order Aberrations (HOA). HOA typically come in the form of halos that cloud your vision at nigh. Wavefront LASIK can provide significantly improved contrast sensitivity, ie you will have significantly improved vision when driving at night. Wavefront guided LASIK is custom designed specifically to the contours of your eyes. Wavefront corrects refractive errors in your eyes, and in some cases can give patients nearly 20-10 vision where traditional LASIK may have limited the same patient to 20-20. If you’ve ever wondered what life would be like without glasses or contacts, find out more about improving your vision with LASIK.For more information on what Wavefront-Guided LASIK and other vision correction Schedule a LASIK consultation with a Carbondale eye doctor 500 Lincoln Drive Suite A 130 E.
